About LCSC
Laguna Creek Soccer Club (LCSC) provides the youth of Elk Grove, California and surrounding communities an exceptional soccer program which emphasizes sportsmanship, skill development, and fun at the recreational level.
The LCSC recreational program serves over 1,000 youth on over 70 teams competing in the Elk Grove Youth Soccer league (EGYSL). The recreational soccer program is designed for players of all ability levels who enjoy soccer and want to develop their skills during a shorter season, which runs from September through late November, and in a less competitive game environment. Players as young as 5 years old begin learning the basics through our recreational program and can continue playing recreational soccer with LCSC through age 13. The majority of LCSC players attend John Ehrhardt, Elitha Donner, and Foulks Ranch Elementary Schools, Harriet G. Eddy Middle School, and Laguna Creek High School.
LCSC is supervised and administered by a Board of Directors and supported by volunteer coaches and team parents. The recreational program is enhanced through the use of certified referees in games for children ages 8 and older.
Affiliations
LCSC is affiliated with the Elk Grove Youth Soccer League (EGYSL), the California Youth Soccer Association - North (CYSA-North), the United States Youth Soccer Association (USYSA), and the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), which are recognized and governed by the Federal International Football Association (FIFA), the international governing body of soccer.
Club Management
LCSC is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion and development of youth soccer. LCSC is a volunteer youth organization governed by a Board of Directors elected annually at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in December. In addition to the President, 1st Vice President/Coaching Coordinator, 2nd Vice President/Referee Coordinator, Registrar, Treasurer, and Secretary; LCSC board members are appointed to chair functional areas such as Assistant Coaching Coordinators, Field Coordinator, Uniform Coordinator, Equipment Coordinator, Events Coordinator, Scorekeeper, and Webmaster. The Laguna Creek Soccer Club is supported by an extensive group of dedicated volunteers, businesses, and the communities surrounding the Elk Grove, CA area.
The LCSC Board of Directors meets monthly. These meetings are open to the Club's membership. Coaches, team managers, and volunteers also meet periodically throughout the year to ensure that the Club and its teams function smoothly.
