USSF ENTRY LEVEL GRADE 9 Recreational Referee - 9 hour Saturday course

This course is for adults, (over the age of 17) who wish to become a referee. A youth may take the course only if they are going to ref with the adult that is also going to take this course.


Normal Course of Instruction: Normal Course of Instruction: This course takes 9 hours

Courses are generally scheduled on a Saturday or Sunday.

There will be 6 hours of classroom work

There will be 3 hours of field work

You MUST read the rule book prior to taking the class

Courses are to be taken in their entirety.

You must complete and pass a 50-question test, to be taken at the end of the course.

You must achieve a score 75% or better to pass and to become a referee.

1. The Rule-Book will be given out 1-2 weeks before course date.
2. There will be a maximum of 25 students in each class
3. The course is free for applicants from within the EGYSL
4. The fee for non-EGYSL applicants is $50
5. EGYSL will provide a uniform kit to all participants who pass the course after they sign a contract to provide referee services to the League.
6. Graduates are required to referee a minimum of 5 games or will have to reimburse the EGYSL $70 for their uniform kit.

* Bartholomew Sports Park = BSP Whitelock and Franklin Road The Sports Building is at the back of Field Number One which is the field that is closest to Franklin High School or which is to the RIGHT of the football field.
